Overview & Privacy Commitment

Smart Remote TV Universal ("we", "our", or "the App") is committed to safeguarding your personal privacy. We design our software so that your personal data, media, and control commands remain securely on your device and inside your home network.

Core Principle: We do not sell, rent, monetize, or transmit your personal data, TV viewing habits, or device commands to external servers.

Local Network & Wi-Fi Discovery

To detect and control compatible Smart TVs (such as Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Sony BRAVIA, Roku, Philips, TCL, Hisense, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV), the App requires Apple's NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription permission.

This permission allows discovery protocols (including SSDP, mDNS, and Apple Bonjour) to locate devices listening on your local Wi-Fi subnet. Local IP addresses, device identifiers, and pairing tokens are stored exclusively in sandboxed local storage on your device and are never sent to external cloud databases.

Photos, Media & Screen Mirroring

When you use Photo Casting, Video Streaming, or Screen Mirroring:

The App accesses only the media items you explicitly choose via the native iOS photo picker (PHPickerViewController).
Your photos and videos are streamed peer-to-peer across your private local Wi-Fi connection directly from your iPhone to your selected Smart TV.
We never upload, scan, process, or inspect your personal media on any remote server.

IPTV Player & Playlist Data

Any IPTV playlist URLs (such as .m3u or .m3u8 links) or custom channel lists that you import into the App are saved locally in the application's secure iOS sandbox storage. We do not track, log, or store your playback history or favorite channels.

Advertising & Apple App Tracking Transparency (ATT)

The free tier of the App displays advertisements provided by Google Mobile Ads (AdMob). In accordance with Apple policies:

Before collecting any advertising identifiers (IDFA), the App presents Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization dialog.
If you grant permission, Google AdMob may serve personalized advertisements based on your device identifier.
If you decline permission, only contextual, non-personalized ads are shown, and your IDFA is not accessed.
You can change or revoke your tracking decision at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions

All premium upgrades and in-app subscriptions are processed directly and securely by Apple through the official App Store StoreKit framework. We never receive, store, or have access to your credit card details, payment instruments, or billing address.
